School of Agriculture and Natural Resources, University of Phayao, Joins Launch of the "Food Waste Platform" Network to Promote Sustainable Food Waste Management
On April 24, 2025, the School of Agriculture and Natural Resources, University of Phayao, led by Asst. Prof. Dr. Wipawan Nuengmek, Dean of the School, along with Asst. Prof. Dr. Supaporn Phatsorn, a lecturer from the Agricultural Technology Program, participated in the press conference titled "Food Waste Platform Network Collaboration: Innovation in Food Waste Management" held at Saksit Tridej Conference Room, Pollution Control Department, Bangkok.
The event was jointly organized by the National Research Council of Thailand (NRCT) under the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research, and Innovation, and the Pollution Control Department under the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment, with support from Dow Thailand Group. The primary aim was to promote a comprehensive food waste management system through the innovative online platform FoodWasteHub.com, which serves as a hub for data collection, knowledge dissemination, and network collaboration among government agencies, private sectors, and educational institutions nationwide.
The project brings together a total of 29 organizations, including government agencies, private companies, research institutes, and educational institutions, including the School of Agriculture and Natural Resources, University of Phayao. The collaboration focuses on sharing knowledge, innovative research, and case studies in food waste management across both community and industrial levels.
This initiative aligns with the Thailand Food Waste Management Plan (2023–2030) and the First Phase Action Plan for Food Waste Management (2023–2027), aiming to reduce the amount of food waste requiring disposal, lower greenhouse gas emissions from waste processing, and increase the country’s recycling rate. It also supports the promotion of the BCG (Bio-Circular-Green) Economy policy in a practical and systematic manner.
As an academic institution committed to research for sustainable development, the School of Agriculture and Natural Resources recognizes the significance of effective food waste management. The School has been conducting research projects and activities focused on reducing agricultural waste, reusing waste materials, and educating students on environmental conservation and resource management.
On this occasion, the School’s executives and faculty members expressed their commitment to implementing food waste management strategies within the university and extending these practices to nearby communities, aiming to foster sustainable changes both locally and nationally.

คณะเกษตรศาสตร์และทรัพยากรธรรมชาติ มหาวิทยาลัยพะเยา ร่วมงานแถลงข่าวเปิดตัวเครือข่าย "Food Waste Platform" เพื่อส่งเสริมการจัดการขยะอาหารอย่างยั่งยืน
เมื่อวันที่ 24 เมษายน 2568 คณะเกษตรศาสตร์และทรัพยากรธรรมชาติ มหาวิทยาลัยพะเยา นำโดย ผู้ช่วยศาสตราจารย์ ดร.วิพรพรรณ์ เนื่องเม็ก คณบดีคณะเกษตรศาสตร์และทรัพยากรธรรมชาติ พร้อมด้วย ผู้ช่วยศาสตราจารย์ ดร.สุภาพร ภัสสร อาจารย์ประจำหลักสูตรเทคโนโลยีการเกษตร ได้เข้าร่วมงานแถลงข่าว "ความร่วมมือเครือข่าย Food Waste Platform : นวัตกรรมการจัดการขยะอาหาร" ณ ห้องประชุมศักดิ์สิทธิ์ ตรีเดช กรมควบคุมมลพิษ กรุงเทพฯ
การแถลงข่าวครั้งนี้จัดขึ้นโดยความร่วมมือระหว่าง สำนักงานการวิจัยแห่งชาติ (วช.) กระทรวงการอุดมศึกษา วิทยาศาสตร์ วิจัยและนวัตกรรม และกรมควบคุมมลพิษ กระทรวงทรัพยากรธรรมชาติและสิ่งแวดล้อม โดยได้รับการสนับสนุนจากกลุ่มบริษัท ดาว ประเทศไทย (Dow) มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อส่งเสริมการบริหารจัดการขยะอาหารอย่างครบวงจรผ่านแพลตฟอร์มออนไลน์ FoodWasteHub.com ซึ่งถือเป็นนวัตกรรมใหม่ในการรวบรวมข้อมูล เผยแพร่องค์ความรู้ และเชื่อมโยงเครือข่ายการทำงานระหว่างภาครัฐ ภาคเอกชน และสถาบันการศึกษาทั่วประเทศ
ในโครงการนี้ มีหน่วยงานร่วมขับเคลื่อนทั้งหมด 29 หน่วยงาน ประกอบด้วย หน่วยงานราชการ บริษัทเอกชน สถาบันวิจัย และสถาบันการศึกษา รวมถึงคณะเกษตรศาสตร์และทรัพยากรธรรมชาติ มหาวิทยาลัยพะเยา เพื่อแลกเปลี่ยนองค์ความรู้ งานวิจัยนวัตกรรม และกรณีศึกษาการบริหารจัดการขยะอาหาร ทั้งในระดับชุมชนและภาคอุตสาหกรรม
ทั้งนี้ ความร่วมมือดังกล่าวยังสอดคล้องกับ แผนการจัดการขยะอาหารของประเทศไทย (พ.ศ. 2566–2573) และ แผนปฏิบัติการจัดการขยะอาหาร ระยะที่ 1 (พ.ศ. 2566–2570) ที่มุ่งเน้นการลดปริมาณขยะอาหารที่ต้องกำจัด ลดการปล่อยก๊าซเรือนกระจกจากกระบวนการกำจัดขยะ และเพิ่มอัตราการรีไซเคิลของประเทศ พร้อมทั้งสนับสนุนการขับเคลื่อนนโยบายเศรษฐกิจ BCG (Bio-Circular-Green Economy) อย่างเป็นรูปธรรม
คณะเกษตรศาสตร์และทรัพยากรธรรมชาติ มหาวิทยาลัยพะเยา ในฐานะหน่วยงานด้านการศึกษาที่มุ่งเน้นงานวิจัยเพื่อการพัฒนาที่ยั่งยืน ได้ตระหนักถึงความสำคัญของการบริหารจัดการขยะอาหาร โดยมีการดำเนินโครงการวิจัยและกิจกรรมที่เกี่ยวข้องกับการลดของเสียจากภาคการเกษตร และการนำของเสียกลับมาใช้ประโยชน์ ตลอดจนการให้ความรู้และส่งเสริมบทบาทของนิสิตในเรื่องสิ่งแวดล้อมและการอนุรักษ์ทรัพยากร
ในโอกาสนี้ คณะผู้บริหารและคณาจารย์ของคณะฯ ได้แสดงเจตจำนงพร้อมขับเคลื่อนแนวทางการจัดการขยะอาหารภายในมหาวิทยาลัยและขยายผลไปยังเครือข่ายชุมชนโดยรอบ เพื่อร่วมสร้างการเปลี่ยนแปลงอย่างยั่งยืนในระดับท้องถิ่นและระดับประเทศต่อไป
