School of Agriculture and Natural Resources, University of Phayao, Holds “Songkran Elder Blessing Ceremony” to Preserve Thai Agricultural Traditions for 2025
On April 21, 2025, the School of Agriculture and Natural Resources, University of Phayao, organized the project “Songkran Elder Blessing Ceremony in Celebration of Agricultural Songkran Festival 2025” at the Grand Vista Hotel, Mueang District, Chiang Rai Province. The event was led by Asst. Prof. Dr. Wipornpan Nueangmek, Dean of the School, along with the school’s vice deans, faculty members, and staff who participated with unity and enthusiasm.
This activity aimed to preserve Thailand’s rich cultural heritage and uphold the traditional values of Songkran, which is considered the Thai New Year. It also served as a gesture of respect and gratitude toward the elders within the organization, reinforcing morale, motivation, and camaraderie among the school’s personnel.
The event began with a traditional water-pouring ceremony (Rod Nam Dam Hua), where younger staff respectfully poured water over the hands of senior faculty members and administrators to seek forgiveness and receive blessings for the new year. The warm and heartfelt atmosphere reflected the deep respect and unity within the academic community. Participants dressed in traditional Thai and local attire to further honor and preserve Thai cultural identity.
In addition to the ceremonial proceedings, the Dean and executive team delivered heartfelt speeches, emphasizing the importance of cultural preservation alongside organizational development. They highlighted the school’s commitment to harmonizing traditional values with its modern, global-facing vision—underscoring sustainable development rooted in cultural identity.
The Songkran Elder Blessing Ceremony was more than a cultural event; it was a meaningful opportunity to strengthen solidarity, foster mutual respect, and reinforce the school’s core values. This annual tradition continues to play a vital role in nurturing a strong and warm organizational culture, one that blends pride in local heritage with aspirations for global advancement.

คณะเกษตรศาสตร์และทรัพยากรธรรมชาติ ม.พะเยา จัดโครงการ “สระเกล้าดำหัวผู้อาวุโส” สืบสานประเพณีเกษตรสงกรานต์ ประจำปี 2568
เมื่อวันที่ 21 เมษายน 2568 คณะเกษตรศาสตร์และทรัพยากรธรรมชาติ มหาวิทยาลัยพะเยา ได้จัดโครงการ “สระเกล้าดำหัวผู้อาวุโส เนื่องในวันเกษตรสงกรานต์ ประจำปี 2568” ณ ห้องประชุมโรงแรมแกรนด์วิสต้า อำเภอเมือง จังหวัดเชียงราย โดยมีผู้บริหารคณะนำโดย ผู้ช่วยศาสตราจารย์ ดร.วิพรพรรณ์ เนื่องเม็ก คณบดี รองคณบดี คณาจารย์ และบุคลากรของคณะเข้าร่วมโครงการอย่างพร้อมเพรียง
การจัดกิจกรรมในครั้งนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อสืบสานวัฒนธรรมและขนบธรรมเนียมประเพณีอันดีงามของไทย เนื่องในโอกาสเทศกาลสงกรานต์ ซึ่งถือเป็นวันขึ้นปีใหม่ไทย อีกทั้งยังเป็นการแสดงออกถึงความเคารพ ความกตัญญูต่อผู้อาวุโสในองค์กร สร้างขวัญและกำลังใจในการปฏิบัติงาน พร้อมทั้งส่งเสริมความสัมพันธ์อันดีระหว่างบุคลากรในคณะ
กิจกรรมภายในงานเริ่มต้นด้วยพิธีรดน้ำดำหัวขอพรจากคณาจารย์และผู้บริหารอาวุโสของคณะ เพื่อแสดงความเคารพ ขอขมา และขอพรเนื่องในวันปีใหม่ไทย ซึ่งเต็มไปด้วยบรรยากาศแห่งความอบอุ่นและความสุข โดยผู้เข้าร่วมทุกคนได้ร่วมกันสวมผ้าไทย แต่งกายด้วยชุดพื้นเมืองเพื่อร่วมสืบสานเอกลักษณ์ความเป็นไทย
นอกจากพิธีกรรมแบบดั้งเดิมแล้ว ภายในงานยังมีการกล่าวอวยพรจากคณบดีและคณะผู้บริหาร โดยเน้นย้ำถึงความสำคัญของการรักษาและส่งต่อวัฒนธรรมท้องถิ่นควบคู่ไปกับการพัฒนาองค์กร และการก้าวสู่ความเป็นนานาชาติอย่างมั่นคง โดยไม่ละทิ้งรากเหง้าทางวัฒนธรรม ซึ่งถือเป็นแนวทางการพัฒนาอย่างยั่งยืนในบริบทของสังคมไทย
โครงการ “สระเกล้าดำหัวผู้อาวุโส” ในครั้งนี้ ไม่เพียงแต่เป็นกิจกรรมเชิงวัฒนธรรม หากยังสะท้อนให้เห็นถึงความสามัคคี ความเคารพซึ่งกันและกัน และเป็นการส่งเสริมค่านิยมองค์กรให้เข้มแข็งยิ่งขึ้น ถือเป็นอีกหนึ่งกิจกรรมสำคัญที่ช่วยหล่อหลอมจิตใจและเสริมสร้างวัฒนธรรมองค์กรให้มีความอบอุ่น เข้มแข็ง และมีเอกลักษณ์ที่น่าภาคภูมิใจ
