School of Agriculture, University of Phayao, Partners with Phayao Provincial Agriculture Office to Enhance Farmers' Capacity through Innovation and Agricultural Waste Management
On April 3–4, 2025, the School of Agriculture and Natural Resources, University of Phayao, in collaboration with the Phayao Provincial Agriculture and Cooperatives Office, organized a hands-on training workshop entitled “Promoting Agricultural Waste Management through Innovative Technologies” under the project “Enhancing Regional Agricultural Competitiveness”. The workshop was held at the Sufficiency Economy Learning Center, University of Phayao, and welcomed the participation of over 100 farmers from all districts in Phayao province.
The training aimed to transfer knowledge, technology, and innovative concepts for the management of agricultural waste. The goal was to help farmers increase the value of waste materials, reduce production costs, and encourage the integration of innovation and technology in their agricultural practices—ultimately strengthening their competitiveness in the agricultural sector.
The opening ceremony was honored by Asst. Prof. Dr. Wipornpan Nueangmek, Dean of the School of Agriculture and Natural Resources, University of Phayao, who delivered the welcoming speech and a keynote lecture on “The Role of Innovation in Modern Agriculture.” She was joined by Asst. Prof. Dr. Wasana Pitakpol, a lecturer in the Agricultural Science program, along with a team of experts from the faculty who served as speakers and trainers throughout the event.
Participants engaged in both theoretical and practical sessions covering key topics such as:
Agricultural Waste Management: Utilizing materials like rice straw, corn husks, plant residues, and animal manure to produce compost or mushroom cultivation substrates.
Sustainable Soil and Fertilizer Management: Focusing on soil analysis, soil enrichment with organic matter, and the use of biofertilizers to reduce dependency on chemical inputs.
Innovative Mushroom Cultivation: Demonstrating how to use agricultural waste in mushroom block production as a supplemental source of household income, including step-by-step methods for mixing materials, sterilization, bagging, and maintenance.
In addition to technical knowledge, the workshop also provided opportunities for experience sharing and discussion among farmers, allowing them to learn from real case studies and apply the concepts appropriately to their own local contexts.
This initiative marks a significant step in strengthening collaboration among academic institutions, government agencies, and local farmers—working together to promote sustainable agricultural development in Phayao Province and to prepare for future challenges in the global agricultural landscape.

คณะเกษตรศาสตร์ฯ ม.พะเยา จับมือสำนักงานเกษตรฯ พะเยา จัดอบรมเชิงปฏิบัติการ เสริมศักยภาพเกษตรกร เพิ่มขีดความสามารถการจัดการของเหลือใช้ทางการเกษตรด้วยเทคโนโลยีและนวัตกรรม
เมื่อวันที่ 3–4 เมษายน 2568 คณะเกษตรศาสตร์และทรัพยากรธรรมชาติ มหาวิทยาลัยพะเยา ร่วมกับสำนักงานเกษตรและสหกรณ์จังหวัดพะเยา จัดกิจกรรมอบรมเชิงปฏิบัติการ หัวข้อ “การส่งเสริมการจัดการของเหลือใช้ทางการเกษตรด้วยเทคโนโลยีนวัตกรรม” ภายใต้โครงการ “เพิ่มขีดความสามารถในการแข่งขันด้านการเกษตรระดับภูมิภาค” ณ ศูนย์การเรียนรู้เศรษฐกิจพอเพียง มหาวิทยาลัยพะเยา โดยมีเกษตรกรจากทุกอำเภอในจังหวัดพะเยาเข้าร่วมกว่า 100 คน
กิจกรรมครั้งนี้จัดขึ้นเพื่อถ่ายทอดองค์ความรู้ เทคโนโลยี และแนวคิดด้านการจัดการทรัพยากรเหลือใช้ในภาคการเกษตร อันจะนำไปสู่การเพิ่มมูลค่าและลดต้นทุนการผลิตให้แก่เกษตรกร พร้อมทั้งส่งเสริมการประยุกต์ใช้เทคโนโลยีและนวัตกรรมในกระบวนการผลิต เพื่อยกระดับขีดความสามารถการแข่งขันของเกษตรกรในพื้นที่
ภายในพิธีเปิด ได้รับเกียรติจาก ผู้ช่วยศาสตราจารย์ ดร.วิพรพรรณ์ เนื่องเม็ก คณบดีคณะเกษตรศาสตร์และทรัพยากรธรรมชาติ มหาวิทยาลัยพะเยา กล่าวต้อนรับและปาฐกถาพิเศษในหัวข้อ “บทบาทของนวัตกรรมกับการเกษตรยุคใหม่” และได้รับความร่วมมือจาก ผู้ช่วยศาสตราจารย์ ดร.วาสนา พิทักษ์พล อาจารย์ประจำหลักสูตรเกษตรศาสตร์ฯ พร้อมด้วยบุคลากรผู้ทรงคุณวุฒิจากคณะฯ ทำหน้าที่วิทยากรในการถ่ายทอดองค์ความรู้
ในระหว่างการอบรม ผู้เข้าร่วมกิจกรรมได้รับทั้งภาคทฤษฎีและภาคปฏิบัติในหัวข้อสำคัญ อาทิ
การจัดการวัสดุเหลือใช้ทางการเกษตร เช่น ฟางข้าว เปลือกข้าวโพด เศษพืช และมูลสัตว์ เพื่อใช้เป็นวัตถุดิบในการผลิตปุ๋ยหมักหรือวัสดุเพาะเห็ด
การจัดการดินและปุ๋ยอย่างยั่งยืน โดยเน้นการวิเคราะห์สภาพดิน การปรับปรุงบำรุงดินด้วยอินทรียวัตถุ และการใช้ปุ๋ยชีวภาพเพื่อลดการพึ่งพาปุ๋ยเคมี
การเพาะเห็ดก้อนแบบประยุกต์ ซึ่งสามารถนำวัสดุเหลือใช้มาใช้ประโยชน์ในการเพาะเห็ดเพื่อสร้างรายได้เสริมในครัวเรือน โดยมีการสาธิตขั้นตอนการผสมวัสดุ การนึ่ง การบรรจุถุง และการดูแลรักษา
นอกจากนี้ ผู้เข้าอบรมยังได้ร่วมแลกเปลี่ยนความคิดเห็น ประสบการณ์ และเรียนรู้จากกรณีศึกษาจริง เพื่อให้สามารถนำความรู้ไปประยุกต์ใช้ในพื้นที่ของตนเองได้อย่างเหมาะสมและยั่งยืน
กิจกรรมในครั้งนี้ นับเป็นอีกหนึ่งก้าวสำคัญในการสร้างเครือข่ายความร่วมมือระหว่างสถาบันการศึกษา หน่วยงานรัฐ และเกษตรกรในพื้นที่ ที่จะร่วมกันผลักดันการเกษตรของจังหวัดพะเยาให้ก้าวทันการเปลี่ยนแปลงของโลก และเติบโตอย่างมั่นคงในอนาคต
